The production company unafilm, winner of the first Eisvogel Film Award, undertook to produce the TV crime thriller “Tatort Dortmund – Gier und Angst” in accordance with the rules of the producers’ association for sustainable film production. “In all trades, in particular transportation, equipment, energy, materials and catering, as well as plastic and waste avoidance, we worked in a low-emission and comprehensively sustainable manner. This consistently environmentally conscious approach convinced the jury and so the award winner was chosen unanimously,” said Michael Beier, spokesman for the jury and Chairman of the Board of the Heinz Sielmann Foundation, explaining the jury’s decision.
